The Cavernites return this time performing their Beatles only show under the name of The Beatles Alive, and as their band name suggest this is the material they will be performing, taken from The Beatles live set lists from 1962-1966, each era of The Beatles stage concerts will be showcased from the rock and roll covers performed down The Cavern and the clubs of Hamburg to the multi million selling hits of Beatlemania performed on stage during their concert touring years, all performed as The Beatles performed them live on stage, four musicians capturing the power, vibrancy and sheer fun of a Beatles concert.
Hey Beatles initially formed in late 2008. The brainchild of Jon and Sam - old friends from their university days - practice began in earnest when Jon’s best buddy, Ben Johnson expressed an interest in drumming for the band. All three shared a mutual love of all things “fab” and “four”, but problems arose when it came to recruiting a fourth member for the band.
After a months of searching, no-one seemed to suit the bill, so a decision was made to proceed as a three piece. After a year of research and vocal practice (that’s dedication for you!) they hit the road, playing to happy faces across the Country. However, there were some limitations in terms of song choice because of the three piece set up, so a renewed effort to recruit a fourth member ensued, this time with success, with the addition of Jono on Lead guitar dities the new four piece band hit the road once more as “Hey Beatles” and the rest is history!
It's a pleasure to welcome them to Prestatyn and their debut at Daytripper Weekender.
Another new band making their debut at Daytripper Weekender, but you may have caught them at Beatleweek in 2012, where they made their debut on the Beatles circuit, we wanted to have these young men at Daytripper Weekender 2012 but due to other commitments they were unable to attend, but they are coming this year, and what a party band these guys are, performing classics from the Sixties and even the Seventies, there is one slot ideal for these guys and it's the Sunday Afternoon Beatles Barbecue!! it's going to be a rocking afternoon.
Johnny and the Moondogs are a 4 piece 60s and 70s tribute act based in Middlesbrough in the North East of England. Get ready to party as they take you back to the era when music was at it's best, since forming in October 2011 they have fast become a much sought after band due to their powerful engaging song choices and crowd interaction. The youngest member is only 15 the oldest 29, a young band certainly going places in the Beatle tribute world.
Johnny and The Moondogs will be performing a get up and boogie selection of classic material from the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, T-Rex, David Bowie, The Monkees, The Who, Elvis Presley, The Kinks, Bruce Springsteen, The Undertones, Paul Weller, Queen, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix and many more!!
Get out your flares out as well as your Beatle boots this weekend, the summer of love is about to happen!!
