It's a certain drummers birthday during our Daytripper Weekender, yes you all know it's Ringo's 73rd Birthday, so we thought we would celebrate the man himself, so for you Ringo fans out there we have the one and only Mr Max Frudd at daytripper Weekender, Max will have an all Starr band lined up for you and we will be celebrating Ringo's birthday with a good old sing along!!.

In the "Beatle Tribute" world, Max is famous indeed...Who he hasnt met or knows or worked with his impressive to say the least... A few highlights...worked at,Cavern Club,Jacaranda, Adelphi Hotel,Strawberry Fields/Penny Lane,Beatles Story/Albert Dock,(All liverpool), plus nearly every other Hotel in Liverpool!!...Uk/Europe Beatles Days, Hamburg Beatles Festivals,where fans/management/press/ were convinced, Max was the REAL Ringo!! (he had to leave his Hotel layed in the back seat of a car, to the Airport, because of all the fans/press/papparazi)!! Albert Hall, London, plus private functions in the UK...Max performs with his "StarrTime" Band and Beatle Tribute bands, also sometimes "Solo"...The only guy to cover Ringos "FULL" career...before, during, after, The Beatles...WOW...Sometimes Max plays with "The Rory Storm Experience"(Ringos band before "The Beatles")...Also has worked with Pete Best (original "Beatles Drummer), he didnt like Max!! we wonder why!! Plus numerous Radio/TV appearences in UK/EUROPE...e.t.c... Ringo himself knows all about Max..

The Apple Core Beatles are a Beatles tribute band that has "come together" from the South West London area with a love for all things Beatle. They re-create that Beatles look and sound with the authentic classic period costumes, and the musical equipment they use.

The Apple Core Beatles play the Fab Four's music spanning their entire career, and love to play the great up-tempo tracks. Plus solo songs from Wings, The Traveling Wilburys, Plastic Ono Band, The Rutles and other music from the Beatles solo careers.


The band has had an incredibly busy time together over the last few years, and all the band are looking forward to making there debut at The Daytripper weekend!!

York based outfit 'The PepperHearts' formed 3 years ago and having played the Liverpool Beatles weekend ie the Cavern club/Pub, the Adelphi etc. have been gigging around the country on a regular basis playing Pubs, Clubs, Corporate events and Private functions. They insist on being presented as 'A Tribute to the Music of the Beatles' and NOT (with all respect) a Beatles tribute act. They recently 'stood in' at short notice, at the Spa Pavillion 'Beatles fest' in Scarboro' during the day before heading off to a sixties themed party gig in Huddersfield in the evening (Knackered was not the word folks AND...they left behind the Drummers' Snare so had to Beg Steal and Borrow from a local ''Skin basher'') The PepperHearts still rehearse on a regular basis in order to recreate the dynamic 3 part vocal harmonies of John, Paul and George as well as (of course) the SOUND of the Fabulous foursome and can't wait to Perform at Daytripper Weekender along with meeting lots of new and wonderful folk.
